Had people had the good manners to state their case politely and in a carefully reasoned tone from the start I might have been inclined to hand over some beer money in a gesture of good will. Right now I feel ill-inclined to reward such ill-manners.

The people that you DO owe beer money too haven't shown any bad manners. They helped you as much as anyone could have. They asked for nothing.

I have read through (most) of this thread, and I agree with fly37, why not pay someone for their expertise? I am also considering offering a bounty to anyone who can fix my problem, being a new member of the board, what does everyone think?

What you really need to do is participate more often and learn to do things yourself. Maybe if you (and fly37) had participated more often, you'd know that offering a 'bounty" is pretty idiotic. Even from a plain business standpoint, most problems stated here get solved for free, so offering any money (other than donations to the site) is counter-productive.

So basically, everyone thinks that you should stick your "bounty" where the sun don't shine (preferably up your anus). Sticking something imaginary up there should cause absolutely no discomfort.
