VLC has some support for BluRay, but it's apparently in some sort of experimental mode right now and they don't list BluRay as being fully supported. So it might work, but you shouldn't expect it to necessarily do everything a commercial BluRay player will do. I am not aware of any other free programs that can play BluRay unless maybe MPC supports it.

I've only had luck playing the individual .m2ts files with MPC Cinema and VLC player with AnyDVD HD running in the background. Use Windows Explorer to find the largest .m2ts file most times. There's the DRM to overcome, besides the unique BD structure of the disc. I gave in and got Power DVD for Blu-ray. I haven't tried the WinDVD Blu-ray player.

fyi powerdvd 7 ultra and newer are the only ones that support blu ray for cyberlink products as far as I know. There may be bluray plugins for earlier powerdvd versions though I don't know for sure.

I have no knowledge about the windvd bluray support or which versions do and don't support it. I've basically used powerdvd since I've been in the dvd world.
