I have downloaded a video_ts folder however one of the vob files got stuck at 99%. How do I fix this file so that I do not get delay in the subtitles?

Is there a program that will insert a blank segment where missing part of the file is?

I do not know where I should post this request for help.

    Thanks.

Try running it through DVDShrink. It might fix it. At least that may be the simple way. If that doesn't work, you could try extracting the MPEG file from the VOBS with VOB2MPG, then reauthor it. If neither work, then others may have some ideas.

    And welcome to our forums.

I am assuming you acquired this via Bit Torrent. The stuck at 99% problem is fairly common. If it's a recent Hollywood movie, you should be aware that this is a known tactic by the MPAA. They place deliberately corrupted files on Bit Torrent servers to make you waste your time. The problem you have is that the missing 1% could be anywhere. Since Bit Torrent does not work in sequential order, the missing 1% could be at the beginning of a file, or in the middle, or some place else. The VOB will be unwatchable from the point of the missing piece and there are no tools that can fix this. You can try VOBBlanker and it will blank the VOB with the missing piece, making it completely unwatchable. If this VOB iis not part of the movie but an extra, that might be worthwhile but the odds are high that this missing 1% is missing deliberately and using VOBBlanker will simply make the final VOB of your movie unwatchable.

    Hi,

I used DVD FAB to create an ISO file with no mis-sync between video, audio + subtitles.

    Many thank redwudz and jman98,

    Harry.
