    Hello,

recently I bought 2 TV Tuners and they were both using an audio pin for the sound. I could watch TV locally but not broadcast the sound, only video. So I gave up with this since even the support was suggesting me programs that weren't supporting their products. In the end I returned both cards and got refunded.

But I really need to broadcast free Analog TV over the Internet with audio. So what do you suggest as a tuner? I can spend around €50-€70 for such a purchase and I would like a Hauppauge solution since of what I read they are the best.

    Thanks in advance

Strat with this guide. Most any TV tuner will work with WME.

    Also consider VideoLan.

Hello and thanks for your answer,

unfortunately I've followed all guides in this site and still I didn't succeed on transmitting the audio using the default audio settings.

As I said the TV Tuners I've tried use an audio pin as input source for the Analog TV and that's not supported by most of the programs for broadcasting. VLC maybe supports it but in this case I'm gonna need further instructions...

The Tuner that I curently have borrowed for a friend for testing is a Lifeview Not Only TV Hybrid USB LV5H.

So I'm open to either help on how to set up that or suggestions for a new one that can make my life easier.

    Thanks in advance once more.

Seems like you have a tuner specific issue. Use a different tuner.
    I can't help more.

Two different tuners that I tried work like that. So any Analog Tuner that will give me a seperate audio device(instead of the typical input pin) that I can use for streaming?

    Anyone?

That's actually VLC's poor crossbar support for your tuners'. I'm in the same position right now and what I'm doing is I'm recording the stream to a file with the tuner's player (WinTV, because i have a Hauppauge HVR-1800), and then streaming that file with VLC. Still haven't completed implementation but it should work.
