I am trying to show a shot from 2 different video cams. I want to split the screen in half and have the bride and groom centered in each half.
However I cant quite get a handle on this in Vegas 7. I can set the crop window to get the shot I want but then cannot simply slide that image over, it just pans the cropping window.
I have images to explain (over 3 posts cause I dont know how to upload multiple files):
This first one is setting the shot up. The image on the left needs to move the B&G over a bit as he is to close to the center and the 2nd needs to zoom in a bit to fill the frame and also push the B&G over the left a bit, cutting off some of the priest and showing more of the best man to the right (not important to show others just describing how im trying to move the frame.

This image shows the crop I would like and then just stretch this cropped area to fill half the screen witht he B&G in the middle of the right half.......it doesnt matter if I have to chop/add a little more off either side to fill the half the B&G in the center is the main point. In effect I just want to shift the highlighted area to the right so it will be centered on the right hand half of the split screen.

This 3rd shot shows the problem, I cannot shift the image as it is highlighted over, it just shifts the pan or crop border and cuts off the shot I want. I spent ages trying this last night and just drove myself insane, can someone help explain how to achieve this??
If I am confusing I apologise, its hard to write sometimes what im trying to do but hope its clear.

track motion! Just saw a little you tube clip and seems so easy! Thanks guns1inger will attempt this tonight, just something thought the tutorial on YT said that track motion affectst the entire track position not just the clip (as pan and crop lets you just pan clips).
If this is true im guessing anything with this effect will need to be on its own track so it doesnt move my whole project around? -
Yes, or you can use keyframe animation to restrict the changes to a shorter range. As Vegas (Pro, I assume you are using) allows for infinite video tracks (RAM limited), I just throw in another timeline for for this type of work. By the time I have put in titles and graphics etc. it is not unusual for even a relatively simple project to have a a dozen tracks or more.
