What kind of file is this, says divx in subject line

ok i got the movie ali from a private chat room, i got the emails, and it says "divx: alicreener. Well i downloaded one of the files and for the icon its the little windows graphic, i open it and it says with what. i right clik on it and it says" type: 001 File, i dont see anything about .rar, please lemme know, i am going to try and make a vcd out of it.

The file reads as exactly: Ali.SCR.003.

Just open the .001 file in winrar and extract its probably rar files but they should open up in winrar since ive seen a few movies that have those extentions

you could try opening it with winzip or winrar and see what happens. It is possible it is a spanning archive. In that case you would need to get all the files before you can decompress it. If none of these work you could try renaming the extension to .avi, mabee it was misnamed.

Im guessing because it has 2 zeros its a HJ Split file.

RAR files usally dont have 2 00

ie: r.01 not r.001

So if it is an HJ split file, what program do i need to unzip it or whatever?

Well assuming its an HJSplit file you use a program called 'HJ Split'

First try to open it with WinRAR
