I am using Vegas pro and have my raw footage in AVCHD (from Canon HF10).
I would like to publish the same material on both DVD and blue ray for the respective home set-top players, naturally in different qualities (SD/HD). I only want to do the editing of the material once, the media should contain the same transitions, effects etc.
What is the recommended template to use for this new project in Vegas pro - the one that correspond to the input material? If so, will I need to change the settings when I render, or are these all part of the options available on the "render as" menu item?
Thanks,

use project settings that match your HD source material. When you are finished editing you can use the batch render script to render out all the audio and video streams you need for both formats. Be aware though - this script only uses existing presets, so you may have to create a couple of suitable presets before running the script.
