I've been getting my Asus v6800 Deluxe capture card up and running for the first time(what a pain!). Does anyone know if it makes any difference what resolution windows runs at when I capture?. Also I get wierd audio hiccups every 30-45 seconds when capturing. That and the video + audio get very badly out of sync after an hour(I think the how-to from Phat J can help me there) Is it from my sound card, or from disk I/O? I have a cmedia 8738 sound card, and I have DMA enabled. I know its a pos soundcard, but will a new one cure the hiccups? Thanks for any pointers anyone. Awesome website!

i would suggest capturing at the lowest resolution you can, say 640x480, because the higher resolution you have set through windows the more the toll it takes on your system resources, which is an intregal part of having a no-dropped frame capture...
