I am not sure if this is the right section.

    I successfully ripped a dvd that I bought to a friend's computer with DVDFab5.
I wanted to rip from the hard drive to a DVD so I installed Nero suite 6 on his
    computer.
Then I went to the Nero Recode to copy the DVD. I imported the files from
the hard drive and it went through fine. However, when I am ready to burn it
to his LG DVD burner the Nero did NOT see the DVD burner? It tried only
save the burn to the folder. What am I doing wrong?

BTW, I have installed this Nero program on another computer and it worked
    flawlessly.

    Thanks

What version of Nero? Older versions may not see newer optical drives. If you have the file in DVD format (VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS), just burn them with ImgBurn. Works better than Nero most times for burning.

Amen about ImgBurn. One of the best things I ever did was to wean myself off the ever-unpredictable Nero.

The problem with Nero 6 is that it does not recognize newer drives.

One other thing: why did you need to use your friend's computer instead of your own? (FYI -- It is not legal to make him a copy of a copyrighted video he does not already own.)

My bad. I mistyped. It's his disc.

    Thanks for the info.

Or put his copy of Nero Recode on someone else's machine.
