*i need paintshop/photoshop gurus on this one/ others pass your way*
I got an undergoing project to restore a video with paintshop since it seems it's the only way to get rid of these colors lines the right way, take a look:
Original Vs. after vdubfilters & paintshop
I'm wondering if it's possible to only select a specific color to remove it/ make it less visible if not invisible.
Actually i know it's possible it's the next step that i'm wondering "how to" you know: replace the color, blend it perfectly etc..
I also ask myself if working on rgb channels separately wouldn't be better.
Lots of questions
Right now i'm not exactly working like this. It's not bad but i think i could work with a better technique/tools
Some Guru enlighten me pls
p.s: tutorials are welcome.

this is a toughie because of the gradients

if this has been shot on a tripod and happens only occassionally, you may be able to substitute part of a previous good frame over the bad part

look under tools on the left menu...see if you can find something that would make it easier than editing 25 frames for 1 second

This is a video recorded on vhs back in the days. The reel inside is in bad condition which explain the lines.

I got a bunch of these lines that appears randomly sometimes at the top or in the middle of the pic.

I just wanna be able to select a specific color then make a color blend /smooth thanks for your opinion though.*** DIGITIZING VHS / ANALOG VIDEOS SINCE 2001**** GEAR: JVC HR-S7700MS, TOSHIBA V733EF AND MORE

I don't know of any way in PS except by hand. You could use the clone feature or maybe heal and retouch the line a bit at a time. The problem, as mentioned, is the gradients and the uneveness of the line.

A closeup of part of the line:
