After months of working on a project in MPEG Video Wizard DVD, it inexplicably deleted my video track in its entirety. This was not user error and Womble's response suggests that the project file might have gotten too large.

I can't afford to have this happen again.

Which of the professional editing applications for PC supports MPEG-2 files?

Does Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 readily import and edit MPEG-2 files? How about Vegas?

    Thanks.

How large/long was the project? Have you considered working in segments? You can always then paste them together later, after doing whatever edits you want.

I personally use MVW DVD, but it looks like TMPGEnc MPEG Editor does the same thing, without the re-encoding MPEG-2.

What type of editing is this going to be? What will you do?
