Are there descriptions of each non-RT plug-in that give one some idea of what they do. For example, Wave Hammer. Initially, I thought it might hammer the wave down, i.e., reduce volume in some way, but a friend told me otherwise. How does one know what each plug-in does?

Wave Hammer is a Volume Maximizer that applies audio limiting to pump up the sound. Most of the effects were invented by Sonic Foundry, who was bought by Sony.

Yes, I'm aware of the purchase by Sony and what Hammer does; however, I'd still like to see a paragraph, two sentences, whatever, description of each audio plug-in. Parametric EQ doesn't do much for me. Yes, I know what EQ means. DV Scenes, FrameNotify, ...? Reverb vs SF ... ExpressFXreverb? TechSmith Camera Adjust ...

Apply the filter. When the filter window opens to allow you to make adjustments, click on the ? and you will get a help file for that filter, including a description of the filter, and a run down on how to use it.
