I'm trying to get an x264 .mkv file converted to and xvid .avi file using WinAVI.

I get an error saying Can't decode this file! Maybe the file is broken or the relative decoder is not installed!

I have the xvid codec installed obviously but is there something else i need to install to get this to work?

    Thanks in advance

Also try out SUPER as well.

You may also want to use gspot or avicodec to double check that it really is a 264 video......
