    Good afternoon to everyone,

Actually I have a problem with the subtitles in all the movies I have in my disk. Specifically I have the subtitles files .srt (in bulgarian language) but when I am trying to see a movie the subtitles are in strange form. I think that this form is not a kind of "human" language but it's like an encoding form. Can anyone please guide me on how to resolve this problem in order to watch the movie with the proper subtitles ? I also want to apologize if this question has been answered in the forum but I didn't find something after a search.

    Thank you very much,

    Manos

ps: If it's helpful to attach you a print screen to see the current form of subtitles let me know please.

Open the srt in notepad. Can you read the text okey?

Are you using vsfilter / vobsub as subtitle decoder? or a player with built in subtitle decoder?

They can be in utf-8, unicode and it might cause problems. You could try use a text editor that can save them as ascii.

Are you watching the movie on a PC or a DVD player? If it's a PC, what is the operating system (ie. Windows XP, etc.)? If it's a DVD player, what is the model?
