Im making my inlaws wedding DVD and since there were 2 cameras used (just handhelds by guests) I was thinking of using the best audio track and then maybe having the choice of both feeds as a multi angle disc.

One was filmed on a HDV cam and the other was an older analogue cam which has been captured and is currently sitting on my HDD as uncompressed AVI.

Do I need to do anything special to prepare these when encoding or just ensure there is suffiecient room on the disc for both tracks and then its all done in the authoring program which at this stage will be Sony DVD architect.

    Thanks.

    Both clips need to be

    1. The only title in the VTS
    2. Encode with identical bitrate and GOP settings
    3. Have closed GOPs
    4. The combined bitrates for the tracks can exceed the standard DVD bitrate limit of 10800 kbps, however the higher the bitrate, the slower the change between angles. If possible, keep the bitrates of each track to sub 7000 kbps (which can be low for DV sourced material)

  3. Also encoding CBR is a good idea as well. Make sure you use a tool which supports multi angles...DVD Studio Pro, Scenarist, DVD lab. Use AC3 audio and not uncompressed. Does DVD Architect support multiple angles?

I wondered that myself, so I checked the Sony site. The latest version does apparently support them. I would also suggest you carefully read the help files for DVD-A in case the also contain information on multi-angle requirements.
