  1. Here again with another Xbox 360 question. I have files which are capable of being streamed. However, for some reason they are streamed differently in that they require a constant 3 Mb per second upload on behalf of my PC according to a bandwidth program I run on my desktop (Coolmon). 99% of the files I stream only require 200kb or so of upload speed, and the weird thing is, the bitrate on these 3 Mb upstream files is the same as all the others, and so is the file size.

This huge amount of bandwidth causes my 360 to stutter during playback. Is there anything i can do?

I'm not sure I follow completely. The xbox 360 can run on a lan at a 100mb/s. 3mb should not be taxing it.

Are the files encoded properly? If they are not WMV files WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER will not stream them without a registry hack. IF you are streaming them to your media blade on the xbox dashboard you should be able to play mp4 and divx as well as wmv.

One thing you should try is burn a clip of these files and try to play them directly on the xbox 360. Then you should be able to determine if they will properly at all. IF they play properly on the disc then perhaps its a network issue.

What are you using to stream the files to the 360? Try tversity and see if that helps. More details would be needed to help out.

Also if possible try a direct connection between the 360 and the pc. Perhaps there is network interference or a bottleneck somewhere. Connect the lan to the 360 and straight to your computer and/or dsl/cable router.
