What is the best and easiest way to back up a DVD to DVDr on a mac?

the last time I did it I used mac the ripper to rip it, dvd2onex to shrink it, then roxio toast to burn it....i'm sure they are probably older versions too..

is there any new programs I should get? I hear something about popcorn or something....

what do you recommend? It's kind of a pain using three programs just to burn one dvd...and i've had several problems doing it that way in the past...

    Check this link out:

    https://forum.videohelp.com/topic358870.html

This is a thread on dvd cloning apps for the mac. There should be updated info there for you.

I can't offer anything other than that link as I'm strictly a pc user (well some brief exposure to linux here and there for brief curiosity moments ).
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

MacTheRipper (currently 3.0r14m) is my rip of choice. It won't handle
Leatherheads at present, but GeezerButts will get to that type of copy
protection when his personal life settles. You don't need DTOX to compress
since modern Toasts (7 et seq) have compression built in. To get the new
MTR, go to ripdifferent.com and join the forums.

I've mostly given up on compressing to a single-layer DVD-R. Since we
got the humongous new Sony, compression artifacts can be distracting.
DL's are pricier, but the picture quality can be lots better.

There is only one place and that is at RipDifferent from GB.

Any place else and it won't be a working version of R14m.

You could start by posting for help at Ripdifferent. We'll (lawnman, olddude or myself) would be glad to help you with the process.
Don't see any post, PM or email from you about this.
