    again an old problem came up again. various single files DL'd as

    (null)
    (null)dot02 the dot means the middle case little black circle, cant say where it is on the keyboard
    etc
    etc


    how may I extract these?

    it didn't download completely, or the file was hosed in the upload process.

    Try again finding another set of files that are more complete.

    these seem to be .mp3 files sent to a multimedia group: public domain irish pub songs.

    i've had that as well, if they are mp3's just name them track1.mp3, track2.mp3 and they should play fine..if they are rar files you can view by date and rename the oldest file part1.rar and keep going in sequence till they are all named, the last file should be the smallest if all went well, from there just open part 1 with unrarx...
