    Hello,

I want to burn 2000 pictures in several slideshows, which are choosable with links in a self made menu (like from DVDLab). They should not be reduced to PAL or NTSC resolution, like many Slideshow-Softwares are offering, but in the maximum resolution the TV (on which I am looking them) is possible to display.

So I search a way to create menus and slideshows as I like, with effects and music, without reducing the quality of my pictures (at least 1920x1080, other TVs are calculating down)

Which is the best software and the best way to realize this?

    Thank you for your help

Do you want it to play in standalone DVD Players? Then are you limited to dvd-video resolutions(720x480/720x576).

Yes I want it to play on a normal 3year old JVC DVD-Player without DivX Functionality and without functionality to read jpg directly from dvd (Data-DVD), so I am forced to build a correct DVD structure (I tried to burn directly as DVD-Rom, the disc was not readable by player)

And then its not possible to leave original resolution? Is that a limitation of every dvd player? I think I saw some threads here that this is possible, but dont have the time and concentration to read them...

Some newer DVD players supports high resolutions images on a data dvd, but you can not make any slideshows then. If you want slideshows in HD you need a Blu-ray Player and use for example Proshow to make a blu-ray slideshow.

Another option may be a video game console like a ps3 or xbox 360 (the wii does not support high def resolutions).

I believe they should be capable of showing a picture at its native resolution. However it would not be likely to handle anything over 1920x1080 as that is the max for the game consoles.

Another option of course would be to connect your computer or laptop to the tv then you can show any picture you want.
