I am having trouble downloading flash video files from ninemsn.com.au

I use Firefox with DownLoadHelper - it thinks there is a .flv file there but what it downloads is only 1 byte and is obviously not the video you see in the browser

I have tried Orbit Downloader but it doesn't "see" any video files at all

I am sure I was able to get these video files with Orbit in the past

    any help greatly appreciated

Realplayer basic + Ie browser should give you option when mouse is placed over playing clip to download , or by right clicking "download with real player".

    Hi,

I tried Real Player but it doesn't get the files either

Youtube works fine but not ninemns.com.au

Can you have a look at the site and try to get a video file yourself?

    thanks

I've had similar problems. It was Firefox conflicting with Norton. The first download of any file works and the second crashes Firefox. I had the problem with images. The fix is at the following link:

The fix is the post of Wed Oct 22, 2008 by Dmitry

The problem started with a Norton update. The fix is to go into Norton: Options: AV: Real-Time Protection

    - then disable/uncheck "Turn on scanning for Microsoft Office Documents"
