Hey,
I recently received some footage from two different cameras, but neither seems to want to work in Final Cut Pro (7). The footage was given to me on an external hdd, pre-uploaded, from the following cameras:
Panasonic AG-HVX200 and Sony XDCAM EX, model PMW-EX1
One set of footage gives me an error message when I try to import it into FCP, and the other is greyed out in the file selection window and won't allow me to select it at all when trying to import.
If anyone has an idea as to what I could do to solve this, the help would be appreciated. I'm running a Macbook Pro (2008 model).
If you need any additional information, let me know.

the panasonic uses proprietary codecs. you'll need to get the Panasonic AVC-Intra patch for your version of fcp. 6.0.2 or .3 it's on the pan site, but hard to find.
the sony patch is here.
