Hi, I'm first time here so not where it goes but it seems that there's no dedicated forum for this, so...
I bought recently a home theater system which has LG HT963PA DVD player (regional code 1). At the same time I have some DVD's from from 2 and 5 regional zones. Question - how do I make this player play these disks?

A region hack also does NOT guarantee that you will be able to play these discs.
A region hack is only half of the battle. You will most likely encounter the dreaded
NTSC/PAL format problem as well...which is NOT the same as region coding.

Now that sounds awesome Is there any way to bypass this problem?

  6. You would need to copy DVD to HD, open it in Ifoedit and from the menu select DVD > Region code, and change region to Region free. Then re-burn the DVD.

Actually, don't DVD rippers usually make the DVDs region-free when you rip them?
If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

Sometimes if you ask the dealers who sold it they can give you the code under the counter, so to speak.
