Every time I try to encode a movie I get error problems, always at 95 or 99%. I either get decimal point calculation error or address problems. I heard this was the best encoding program out there. I've done some movies, but why can't I do all of them? I have been all over this web site to try and decipher my problems so I don't have to bother all you guys with repetitive questions. But I really want to author a bunch of vcd but am always coming up short.

Is there any place to go besides here that will explain all the problems I will encounter so I don't have to constantly bug you guys with my amateur-ish questions? Thanks again for the help.

I used to get problems with TMPGEnc crashing at various times during encoding but think the probelm is solved in my case now since I went into the configuration for 'energy saving properties' or whtever it's called in English (my computer is Swedish language Windows 98) and changed the setting from the default which was about 20 minutes to 2 hours instead, which means most of my encodes can be completed before the energy saving time sets in. Don't know whay this works but it has stopped the crashes.

I do still get TMPGEnc error messages at 99% but if I check the folder where the file is targeted I see the whole file there but just registered as a 'file' and not as an MPG-File. If I change the name of the file from for example 'movie' to 'movie.mpg' the file type changes and I can go ahead and burn the Mpg to a VCD without any problems. I think there must still be some bug in TMPGEnc that stops the program finishing off properly.

I'm still finding my way around all of this VCD stuff but hope this was of some help
