I have just bought a Samsung DVD-R149. I have used your MultiRegion Hack code and that seemed to work. But when I try to record a NTSC video tape onto DVD I get the following error message:
"You cannot record. Please check the TV system"
There is also interference on the bottom 20% of screen. (this is not present if I just play the video through the switched off DVD player)
The video player is a Grundig GV9110

The most likely issues are
1. Your player is not outputting true, native NTSC, but rather psuedo-PAL, or PAL60. Most recorders will not record this signal correctly, if at all
2. Your recorder needs to be told that the incoming signal is NTSC. I know my Pioneer works like this.
3. Your recorder simply can't record NTSC signals at all.Read my blog here.

Thanks Guns1inger
How do I tell the recorder what the incoming signal is? The instruction manual needless to say does not include this!
Failing that can you recommend a DVD recorder that will copy NTSC tapes.
