I has to be the best bargain low-price DVD-player available at this time. It plays just about everything you throw at it! I can live with the lesser quality. Until we get HDTV it won't matter that much anyway. Some DVD-players that cost 3 times as much are crying and struggling just because you hand them an SVCD...!!
I bet Mustek will be the first to enable their players to play .avi files with the Divx codex. Now that Fraunhofer (developer of mp3) has licensed the Divx format it is probably not that far away!
