Hey guys, I just downloaded Avidemux! It's great... but which format am i exporting the videos for youtube to? Or is there a better tool?

And since my video is 44 minutes is there a way to export in slices, each 10 minutes?

    Thanks guys

    Hi,

I use MPEG streamclip, with very good results so far.
The best format for me has been H.264.
You set the quality to 60 or 70%, depending the size and characteristics of the file you want to convert and you end up with a very decent quality file.

I also compress the audio to AAC 160 Kbps.

    Good Luck !.

If you are working with HD and want for YouTube to show the "watch in HD" link, you should refer to my latest guide on encoding for YouTube HD at:
