what version of ConvertXtoDVD are you using........ earlier versions had a problem with AC3 which was rectified in later versions. suggest upgrading to later version
-
It might be having issues with the non-standard 4-channel AC3 in your .avi
-
my version of convertxtodvd i thought was pretty recent..... ver. 3.2.1.55
maybe ill try the FAVC -
Do you have .net framework installed?

yep microsoft netframework 1.1
when i try to convert the file it says i dont have the right codec or that i dont have avisyth (even tho i do have it installed)
get this.... this file as an .avi has ac3 audio but my divx player doesnt even recognise it and wont play it either. it says i need a direct show decoder to hear the audio with divx player 6.8.2 -
oh the codec ok but i thought that i had that codec when i got divx player and all that.
sence the xvid codec isnt coming up like a link, like the rest of the programs wheres a good spot to get that codec?
edit: after reading my own post i made the link myself.... ok now ill try it all out lets see if i can follow all this.
edit #2: ok FAVC is working away now we'll see later,,,thanks ALOT you were a big help!! thanks all! -
It sounds like FAVC did not finish. Did you close any windows that it opened, specifically a black window with white text in it ? If so, you killed the script before it completed. You can also check the temporary working files folder to see if your encoded files are there. If so, you can author them with any authoring tool to create the DVD. if not, you will have to start again.
Read my blog here.

there was files there yes but they were zero bytes. I did leave the screens open yes... it even let me burn it afterwards but it burned the same think the files but nothing in them...it also didnt say there was an error or anything.
Regardless I was able to convert it a different way. 1st i used nero to convert the 4channel avi to a mpeg2 then i used convertxtodvd to convert it to a dvd.
