We have 2 Tv's that say HD TV monitor I am pretty sure they have no reciever in them as when we got them the price tag on the ones that had a receiver was $300 more I have Dish and don't plan on paying the extra $$$ to watch tv shows in HD and from my understanding I won't need to purchase that converter box we are supposed to need this Feb because we have Dish. my question is if I buy a Blue ray DVD player can I watch Blue ray discs on our HD monitor tv's or will I still need to upgrade our TV's

Check if your tv has an HDMI input. If it does than you're all set.
If it only has component or composite you can still use it. However they will probably eventually fully institute hdcp and then you will only be able to use hdmi for a bluray connection.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
