well, I blanked a part of the DVD alright, with the VobBlanker, what I needed was cell 17 of the original 34.
now, the standalone player tries to read the 16 "empty" cells before showing cell 17.
I am not as unhappy with that as to dig into the PGCedit guide, but the problem is another standalone said the disc was unplayable.
well, I thought de-muxing and re-muxing it back into a new would be a simpler (less intellectual) solution.
but I want to keep the subtitles and as I ripped with subrip the start time of the first subtitle was minute 56 instead of second 10 (or whatever) - I assume that's what the previous (blanked) 16 chapters total up to.
I could try to figure out the exact difference and apply 56:00 minus 00:10 in subtitle workshop but again I am looking for a more automated = less intellectual option. I even tried to convert my chapter 17 to avi and subrip the hardsub times, but it was too intellectual to me, all this colors and width settings before subripping begins![]()
there I stand - I want a cut DVD segment to be read on every whatever old standalone player without skipping those empty (blanked) cells.
any suggestions?
my highest hope is there have been already someone asking the same or similar question and there wil be someone to give me the right thread to read=)
