I have been trying to find a way to losslessly rotate the videos taken with my canon camera (which save movies in mjpeg format, which of course means that each frame is essentially a jpeg picture, which can be rotated losslessly etc). In any case, the guys that made almara a couple of years ago seem to have built those tools (see http://sourceforge.net/projects/almara/).

Trouble is that in order to create those executables (I am running under windows, and they only provide source code), I need to go through a number of steps before I can get the tools (mjpeg2jpeg/jpeg2mjpeg) amongst many others.

I have tried and tried and failed (using cygwin, downloading multiple prerequisites, etc etc).

It fails during one of the steps and there is nothing that I know to do to fix it.

Question is, has anyone else tried those tools, and have you succeeded in building those tools, and could I possibly download the build from anyone?

    Thanks,
    a1
