    Hello

    Not sure if I should post this here, or in the advance video encoding subforum. Anyways, here goes;

    I recently downloaded some unlicensed anime in BluRay format (MKV).

    I have now used MKVExtract_GUI to get the AC3, ASS, AVC & Fonts out of the MKV video.

    What I want to know how to do, is to put them all into an AVI (or DivX... or XviD, it just needs to not lose any quality) so that I can burn it to a DivX DVD (to play on my DivX certified DVD Player).

    Please tell me how I can do this.

    Thanks in advance,

    Panarchy

    PS: When recommending me tools, don't worry about which OS it is for, as I have: Linux, Mac OS X & XP installed.

    You will lose quality by reconverting to xvid or divx but if you use high enough bitrate or constant quality encoding mode you might not notice it.

    Try xvid4psp or avidemux, load the mkv, choose avi xvid, load your subtitle(in xvid4psp under subtitle and avidemux under video->filters), choose audio format like copy the ac3 if your dvdplayer supports it or mp3, convert.

    I'm also attempting conversion from MKV to AVI with MKVTools & VisualHub.

    Then I'll compare them all, and whichever has the best quality I will use in the future.
