Hi,
recently I've recorded about 60 minutes of DV footage and now I'm trying to author it to DVD. I use Mainconcept MPEG Encoder for DV->MPEG encoding and TMPEG Encoder for DVD authoring. I've encountered an intriguing problem which I don't know how to cope with.
The source is 9 DV files about 1,5 GB each.
When I convert each to MPEG and then author as 9 separate tracks everything is fine. However when I tick the "encode to one file" option that should merge all 9 DV files to one MPEG instead of 9 separate MPEGs i get a little desynchro of audio and video (visible mostly or only near the end of the video). The desynchroinization is noticeable in DVD and in MPEG as well. It is not big but is quite annoying when you are looking at the lips of people who are speking on the video. Do you have any ideas why I encounter such problem? Is it because of the file size exceeds 2,5 GB, so it is quite big? Or do you suspect some other reason? Maybe I should provide you some additional info?
I would be grateful for all your answers!AV
