In a recent thread I started, it was suggested that I use Xvid4PSP to resolve the problem. I downloaded the exe file, and see that it wants me to install Framework 3.0. I went to a MS site and pulled down what I think is an install file that is suitable for XP Pro, which I think is an x86 version. The file is dotNetFx35Setup.exe. It's for 3.5. I would guess this will still work with Xvid4PSP. Can someone verify that I've got the right file?

    Framework 3.0 is enough, http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=10CC340B-F857-4A14-83F5-25634...displaylang=en

I guess that 3.5 also installs 2.0 and 3.0 frameworks so it should work with it also.

Good. I installed XvD4PSP with Framework 3.5 (not 3.0), and opened my mov file. I'm heading back to the other thread.
