I've already taken this to the Conversion Forum, and nobody gave me any advice other than to say that it was a problem with my DVD player, so now I'm asking in this Forum.
When I have VCDs that are encoded at 32.97 frames per second (This is the NTSC FILM setting in TMPGEnc) the video plays back all jerky. It will speed up and slow down over and over, with the net result being that the audio gets WAY out of sync with the video. It's horrible to watch.
I've found that if I encode the movies at 39.9 frames per second (NTSC) then they seem to play back fine. But everyone says this is NOT the way to encode a movie when the original avi is 32.97fps. More than anything it just kind of bothers me that I had to waste about 20 CDs before I could find this work around.
I was wondering if anybody could shed some light as to why I'm experiencing this problem. Has someone else with an Apex AD-1500 experienced the same thing? Have you found a fix? Should I upgrade the firmware to fix it?
Thanks
