  1. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16830114012 - I want to know if this camcorder is any good. I edit all my stuff in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Aftereffects and I would like to know if I'm able to use this camcorder for filming stuff. If I buy this, it will be replacing a FUJIFILM 6.3MP Digital Camera. I'm wondering how I would get 8cm DVDs and Blu-Rays onto my computer.

I don't think Adobe Premiere Pro can import import DVDs nor Blu-ray video directly so you have to reconvert or frameserve using other software.

Even the new CS4 version doesn't mention any import of DVD nor Blu-ray, see http://www.adobe.com/ap/products/premiere/features/ and read also http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/3/886384

I guess it would be better to get a camera that Premiere supports directly like AVCHD(requires though a very fast computer).

  3. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16830120239 - I think this Canon VIXIA HF100 would be alright, it has a microphone input and I don't have to use DVD's or Blu-Rays.
