  1. I used ntfs4dos and followed the simple Wizard to make a floppy. I tested the floppy and it does boot the pc into
ntfsdos and I can read and delete files on an ntfs partition. Now I would like to convert this floppy into a cd. I have Nero6, UltraISO and Imgburn. It would be really helpful if someone can choose one of these applications and give me a step by step recipe with screenshots how to convert this floppy to a cd. By the way, someone put ntfs4dos.iso on a p2p site. I burned it with Nero 6 (see screenshot 1 and 2) and it works fine to read/write ntfs.
However, I want to learn how to convert the floppy to cd. I think this might be useful later.

To convert boot floppy to boot CD simply select the "Make boot CD" option in Nero. Then select files on boot floppy for disc image. Next select drive A for boot file source when the option is given in Nero for the Nero image, select Image Recorder for destination and save image to desired location. Lastly select "Burn saved image" in Nero and burn saved image to CD.

  3. Sorry, I can't figure it out from above explanation. I can't find "Make boot CD" option in Nero 6. Closest I can find is
CD-ROM (Boot). See screenshot 1. If I click CD-ROM (Boot), I arrive at screenshot 2. If I click OPEN, and browse for the floppy, I get screenshot 3. However, I can only highlight one file at a time, not all files. (Shift/Control doesn't allow me to highlight more than one file.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  4. Figured out how to convert ntfs4dos floppy to cd.
    1) put the ntfs4dos floppy in the drive
    2) start Nero Burning Rom
    3) click CD-ROM(Boot) on left hand column
    4) Set next window like screenshot 1. Tick bootable logical drive and Enable expert settings
    5) click New
    6) click edit>add files (see screenshot 2)
    7) wait a few seconds for the floppy drive to read and then hold the ctrl button down and slowly select each file,
one by one until all are selected and press Add (See screenshot 3)
    8) to burn the cd right now, click the burning icon and click Burn (screenshot 4) and wait for burning to finish
    9) or to make an iso that can be saved and burned later, select image recorder,
click burning icon and click Burn (screenshot 5)
    10) in next screen, select ISO Image files and click Save (screenshot 6) and wait for image to be created

Glad you resolved how to do it. For future reference to select all files in Nero 6 just right click any file and "Select all" option is given which is easier IMO.

  6. Another note. If you want to get Dr Dos instead of ntfs4dos, set first screenshot above as below screenshot.
Tick Image file (instead of bootable logical drive) click browse and then browse for the DosBootimage.IMA
    which is part of Nero
    C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero
All the other steps are the same.
I'm not sure how Dr Dos is different from ntfs4dos, but I know with Dr Dos, when you use it, you don't have to type
in Yes , as is necessary with ntfs4dos.

FYI boot CD using Dr Dos doesn't see all system drives when a Ghost 2003 boot CD is made using Dr Dos while using Win98 startup disk as boot source on drive A option is given in Nero does see all system drives on resulting Ghost 2003 boot CD. I suspect Dr Dos may have similar issues with other apps but am not certain.
