    Anyone know when we can expect a new MPEG handbook out? the one here is from 04...seems to me like there would be tons of updated content to add.

    Why would there be "tons of updated content" to be added? Maybe that book just covers the basics for MPEG-4, and MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 have been finalized for more than a decade now, no changes to be made.
