    I've recently tried the new promising DivX beta 4 codec, however when I try to play my creations(created with Virtaul Dub 1.4.5) with Windows Media Player 6.4, it always says "attempting to download codec" etc. So, it cannot find the DivX codec, however encoding works fine! I am sure this is a video codec problem since the mp3 audio included in my avi is played but not the video.
    Anyone with similar problems?

    Use the divx player that came with the codec. It works real well and plays all versions of the divx codec as far as i know.
