    the update will work on 8mms and 8ams (ams can use mm firmware, but not viceversa)

    Wholesale clubs like Sam's tend to have APEX's with upgradable firmwere because they get the older models.

    This stops the apex 660 from automatically turning on subtitles (it also has macrovision disabled
