  1. Is there anyway I can make a SVCD repeat playback indefinitly when played in a standalone DVD/SVCD player?

The content is a short video for a trade show, and will probably not have any menus on the disc. Just a single audio/video track.[/b]

    Yes, you could.

Use TSCV to author your VCD.

In the Menu tab, after you insert your MPEG file, you can define in its properties - and in each chapter's properties - What will it do at its end - at its 'Timeout'.
You could change it from 'endlist' to itself again (its definition wil be stated at the end of the filename, as seen at the end of the Yellow bit in Sefy's guide, on the fourth figure).

I'm not sure if there's any need for more details - generally, the answer is 'it's possible', and although Sefy's Guide should give you any further details.

  3. Thanks for the reply.

The only success I've had burning SVCDs on my system is using VCDEasy v1.0.7, and I've got to try and make this looping thing work by the end of the week. Not much time to learn new software.

I'm sort of a newbie to all this.

Is it possible to create a loopable SVCD using VCDEasy?

yes. if it's a single mpeg file, just go to the INTERACTION page and select "loop forever"

if you have chapters/files, just make the last chapter/file's NEXT point to the beginning.

sorry if i'm giving you a blurry description...i'm away from my computer right now (doing this @ library).

    hope that helps!

  5. I had the same problem and used the suggested solution using TSCV suite. It worked OK. The CD plays perfectly in my DVD player (pioneer 646) but when I want to play it in my PC using mediaplayer it does not start by itself and I can't find a way to start the play.
    Can anybody help me please.

  6. To autoplay on the PC, you will need a software that knows how to detect and autoplay the movie, something like PowerDVD or WinDVD is recommanded, but you can of course use a freeware on the Tools section.
