Is there any way to watch 1080p movies in ordinary CRT monitors that supports resolution upto 1024 x 768?

You can watch 1080p on any monitor. It will just be down scaled to the resolution. But you need of course a fast enough computer to play 1080p movies.

It doesn't. That's what Baldrick meant by "downscaled". The resolution is lowered - it is converted or resized - to 1024x768.
