I want to purchase Taiyo Yuden media with the code YUDEN000 T02. According to a poll at http://club.cdfreaks.com/f33/cdfreaks-most-popular-dvd-mediacodes-247164/ and a number of other sources these are some of the best media you can buy. I also know you have to watch out for fakes.
On www.meritline.com they have Taiyo Yuden media with the code YUDEN00T02. Notice the code YUDEN00T02 only has only two 0's after the YUDEN and before the T02.
Below is from http://www.meritline.com/taiyo-yuden-8x-dvd-plus-r-silver-thermal.html
Most sources suggest there is supposed to be three 0's. Does the variation between two or three 0's in the Taiyo Yuden media code make a difference or are they the exact same media?Authentic Taiyo Yuden DVD+R media, made to the highest standards. Highest quality, suitable for duplication and public distribution. Features archival quality AZO metal dye for today's longest archival playback capabilities. Should last up to 100 years or longer in normal cool dark storage conditions.
Additional INKJET or THERMAL (as specified in product title above) printable surface has been added over Taiyo Yuden's high reflectivity layer. Compatible with Rimage Prism, Primera Inscripta and other leading thermal transfer CD/DVD disc printers (not recommened for Everest printers). These discs are also suitable for screen printing. Disc features no stacking ring -- this means it can be printed by today's high speed disc production systems.

I only buy Taiyo Yuden from RIMA.COM and I only buy DVD-R as I am philosophically opposed to DVD+R discs.
My main point though is this: you won't be getting fake Taiyo Yuden from RIMA.COM

P.S.
The last batch I bought from RIMA.COM are the Taiyo Yuden 8x DVD-R discs with the "Silver Lacquer (Shiny Silver)" surface. The code reads: TYG02"The eyes are the first thing that you have to destroy ... because they have seen too many bad things" - Lucio Fulci

I'm sure its just a typo. The actual code is YUDEN000T02 and there's actually a space in there somewhere too. The media ID software can vary a tad too.
