OK, I have one DIVX file that I want to make into a 2 VCD set. I us TMPGEnc 12a and splid the divx file in half (close to it between seens). Do I then decide that max about of bitrate to use for Mpeg1 VCD so that each of the 2 CDs have as much data as possible?
I use FitCD and figured that CD1 is 49:14min long and on a 80min CD I should go with a 2100kbps bitrate?
So is this a good method for max VCD quality? Is there a limit (besides 2500kbps) that MPEG1 does not improve over encoding at higher bitrates? Or should a go with a standard flat bitrate for the entire thing? Thanks
