  1. I'm running Win2K pro and have a file captured from vcr in Virtual dub. As I'm doing some tv episodes filters are the same alltime and this was the fifth file(4 first completed withiut any problems).
So i frameserv in to TMPGEnc 2.51.33127(as usuall) and after about 50% my system locks and the CDRW unit is indicating "burning"(NO disc in unit) after a coupple of reset the things works again, but CDRW-unit isn't present in OS.
Unistalled and then installed unit again and thing seems to work. So i start to encode my fifth episode again and same as before everything goes crazy after 50% including CDRW who thinks hi's burning No disc this time eihter.
Anyone experienced something like this before?? I tried to burn a cd and the writer seems to work.(But for how long)

I was having problems with TMPGEnc crashing my system too - until I went into the power saving settings in the control panel and changed the time before the computer goes into low power mode from the 20 minutes it was in the default to several hours - the amount of time I think a typical TMPGEnc encoding would take on my machine. Since then I haven't had a crash. Try it and see.

Make sure you disable all power saving in your bios also, windows may be disabled but that does not stop the bios power saving options.
