    Has anyone done it? I got a 500 g sata drive just dying to recieve some data

    and I just noticed the option while dicking around the screens.

    I'd look at the manual for info on the how to part, but I'd stll want to hear peoples experiences.

    What is the *exact* make and model number of the HDD recorder/DVR in question?
    Different units require different techniques.

    I misread the screen, it was a ref to a PC card, NOT a PC.

    When I seen the PC, I'm thinking HDD, but I was wrong.

    There still may be a way thru the PC CARD but I haven't the time to try micro center yet.
