ASF -> AVI or MPEG?

Are there any program to do this conversion? I tried VirtulDub and it seems like it no longer support ASF files. And why are some movie/video clip can't fastward? esp. ASF files, I walways jump back to where it's playing when I try to click the cursor to fastward. Does anyone know why? thx

Use a program called ASFTools. You should be able to download it in the Tools section of this website. It can convert your ASF files to AVI and then you can use TMPEG to encode it into a MPEG. You should also download the dB Poweramp Music Converter. You would use it to create a wave file out of the ASF file and then use it for the audio source in TMPEG.

I have tried Vdub 1.3c and I always get some kind of error message whe using asf files. I've found that the ASFtools works better for me.
