At my church I'm trying to get a video signal from the dvd player to the projector. Right now the only thing they have hooked up to the projector is the computer. The only cable that is going from the media booth to the projector is a cat 5 and there is no room for any more cables in the conduit. On each end of the cat 5 they use one of these.

I bought this to convert the signal to vga and am using a vga switcher to go back and forth from the dvd to the pc. But for some reason I can't get any signal from the DVD player when I try to go to the projector. I can get the signal fine going just to a PC monitor, but when I go through the cat 5 converter I get nothing. Any ideas?

    Are you matching resolutions?
The MonoPrice box outputs 800×600@60HZ, or 1024×768@60HZ. The Niles box needs to be set to the same.

    I'd call Niles support.

Or, I'd play the DVD from the computer.

Yeah, the resolution is set at 800x600@60hz. That is the same res that the computer is sending to the projector. When I have them set up using the switcher, I can see the dvd image for about .5 seconds when I switch to the dvd output, then it goes blank.
