    I'm trying to download some trial software for editing the video.

    I guess Avid & Pinnacle doesn't have trial for download... bummer ;(

    What other good software out there for video editing with sample themes, effects... beside Adobe products?

    Pinnacle Studio Ultimate version 12

    You can call Avid/Pinnacle and request a trial CD. Most others will do it too. They usually inhibit output or they place a watermark on output.

    They hand out these trial CDs free at trade shows.
