With DVDAuthorGUI, I use menus like that (this is menu 1):
<pgc>
<button> jump title 1; </button>
<button> jump title 2; </button>
<button> jump menu 2; </button>
<vob file="G:\7D_LT\dvd\menusub1.mpg" />
<post>jump menu 1;</post>
</pgc>
I also have a background music. If music lasts 40 s, I set the framecount number to 1000 fr (40 s x 25). After the menu is played, it starts again (jump menu 1). (Few years ago, when I started to use DVDAuthorGUI, I had problems with menus with framecount 1 and no music. That's why I do like above.)
With version 1.007, this works fine. All dvd:s plays fine in all players.
But with the recent version, which I installed on my new computer, I have some (minor) problems:
1. Inserting high framecount number is not pleasent (you can't write the number, you must use the arrow buttons)
2. (This is my main concern.)
After the menu is played, the buttons (not the active button) disappears from the screen. You can select them, and they work fine, but you must remember/seek where they are to use them. But you don't see them.
This happens only for some players in computer. Stand-alone players work fine.
3. I removed the new version from my new computer and tried to install version 1.007, but got a error message (some file was not acceptable or something like that, sorry I don't remember.)
Any ideas?

Run dvdauthorgui
Ctrl + S
25 frames
Run
Now go to where dvdauthorgui is installed and locate process.bat
Where it says 25, change to required number (multiple of selected dvd format, pal or nstc)
Save and run it
version 1.014 works fine here
part 2:
"This happens only for some players in computer"
update directx and graphics drivers, then confirm , issue could be internal to play back product .
Which dvd playback products are installed ? ... possible issue with codec conflicts
Part 3:
You will need to seek this error , or if this was during authoring, possible it was trapped in log file created by dvdauthorgui ... but if you uninstalled it, the log file is gone.
where did the files being authored come from originally ... provide as much detail as possible so the problem can be identified. -
1. If I start DVDAuthorGUI and press CTRL-S, it just opens an window to select a video file. And in process.bat, I don't see anything where I could enter the frame count number! Are we talking of the same program?!?!
2. If the frame count number (n) is greater the backgound music in seconds (t) multiplied by 25, there is no problems with any versions of DVDAuthorGUI. All players work fine. (That was my mistake. In fact, only my WinDVD-player loses the buttons if n<25t.)
But how easy enter the frame count number in the new version, that I would like to know! -
I you know, please answer:
With recent version DVDAuthorGUI, how can I easily enter the
frame count number?
