  1. I need to stream FLV video, and I just need a basic solution. My website already handles all of the authentication, etc, so I simply need a FLV server to stream the video so people can't rip the video. And I need more than 10 simultaneous connections.

Both are priced at $995 USD for a single server license.

Which is easier to use, Wowza or Adobe Flash Streaming Server?
I've already tried Wowza and it's pretty easy to set up. Has anyone tried Adobe's Flash Server?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Your needs are NOT realistic. You can make it difficult for people to copy the video, but you CANNOT prevent it. No server can meet this requirement. They will tell you that they can prevent people from copying your video, but all they can do is make it harder. ANYTHING that can be streamed can be copied. That is reality.

  3. I don't mean impossible. I just mean the heightened security that a Flash Streaming Server provides over regular progressive download. So you can't use those DownloadHelper Firefox plugins to download it, or grab it from cache.

  4. In any case, does anyone have a real answer to my question, and not a criticism of my expectations?

Either. They're both "out of the box" apps.

    And I echo the rest.

  6. I've gone with Wowza because of the larger feature set.

    Thanks.

  7. This is a much friendlier forum than Doom9. There's quite the debate raging on there from my same post:

On the other hand, you were (are?) being a self-important prick over there. You would probably get some of the same responses over here with many of your posts from that thread.
